Hi, I’m Rachel! I’m graduating in May 2024 with my B.F.A. in Graphic Design and my B.A. in Communication Studies.
At the University of Iowa, I’ve been able to master the fundamentals of graphic design, expand my skillset, and challenge myself to design in every form, including print, packaging, UI/UX, publication, and video with the Adobe Creative Suite. I've also gained experience in other mediums, including printmaking, painting, drawing, ceramics, and intermedia.
I am seeking a full-time job and hope to combine my graphic design and communications experience in a fulfilling and team-centered role that will continue to develop my skills.
As for my personal artistic interests, I love hand-made art and aim to mimic physical qualities in my digital art, like textures, layers, and shadows, all of which are brought together in a collage-like style. My favorite works show personality through handwriting, coloring out of the lines, cutout images, and sketchy, hand-drawn elements; imperfections are welcomed!
